Jim Rohn, Confucius, and Aristotle Walk Into a Bar…

Have you noticed how we start to resemble the people we’re closest to? You may be familiar with Jim Rohn, who famously said we become the average of the five people we spend the most time with.
Do dogs count? They’re pretty great.🤩🐕
Side note: I heard dogs start to resemble their owners. What do you think? 😆
This idea isn’t new. Confucius, the ancient Chinese philosopher (ca. 500s BCE), taught about junzi—choosing virtuous friends because they shape our character by influencing our thoughts and actions. Aristotle, the Greek philosopher (ca. 300s BCE), also believed that surrounding ourselves with inspiring people is key to living a happy, meaningful life.
When I first began healing my broken body, I was blessed with not only a phenomenal healer-teacher, but a beautiful community of people who wanted more—more health, more joy, more fulfillment. We learned, shared, laughed, supported each other, and grew—together. That community? Priceless.
When we spend time with loving, high-vibe, healthy, abundant people, we naturally begin to mirror and embody those qualities.
We become what we’re surrounded by. This is reflected in science and echoed in ancient wisdom—from Jim Rohn to Confucius and Aristotle.
Who are you surrounding yourself with?
Our Joy Alchemy Community is full of kind, open-hearted, high-vibe, abundant-minded people. Each week, we reset, gently regulate our nervous systems (bodies), and practice tiny tools that create big, meaningful change. When we feel good, life flows better—and we attract more of the beautiful, positive energy we give out. Discover more and join us here ✨ If someone you care about could benefit, please share this with them. 💛
In the meantime, take a delicious breath. Exhale slowly, like you’re blowing through a straw. And think about the beautiful people you spend time with—and how you want to feel every day!
Joy and high-vibes,
Galit "Gah-leet"
